NEW: lightfusion Phototherapy Treatment Launches at Karidis

It’s landed! We’re delighted to announce the launch of lightfusion phototherapy at Karidis clinic. This innovative treatment will target wrinkles, fine lines and pigmentation. It’s cost effective, non-invasive and fast, and you’ll see a difference in the radiance of your skin in just one treatment!

What is lightfusion?

lightfusion™ is a professional grade light emitting diode device to treat periorbital wrinkles (laughter lines) and pigmented skin. It also helps reduce pore size, improve skin tone and texture and gives a vibrant healthier looking skin after just one treatment. It’s a natural, non-invasive, painless treatment suitable for all skin types and conditions.

How does lightfusion work?

Two clinically proven wavelengths are used: 633nm or red light and 830nm or near infra red light. These wavelengths have been shown repeatedly in clinical studies to be absorbed by cells stimulating the energy source of the cell. This produces a cascade of cellular processes that stimulate collagen and elastin production and improve blood flow and tissue oxygenation helping skin cells absorb topical skincare products. In addition red and infrared light help reduce inflammation, accelerate wound healing and help reduce brown spots and pigmentation and improve skin tone and texture.

What is the lightfusion facial?

The lightfusion™ photofacial combines LED technology and a specially formulated hydrogel mask which transmits light and delivers active ingredients such as marine collagen directly into skin. Superior results have been seen after just one session. There is also a sleep recovery cream to take home and apply at night on the day of the photofacial, which helps enhance results of the treatment.

What is the difference between lightfusion phototherapy and laser treatment?

lightfusion™ does not cut, burn or break the skin surface whereas lasers work through heat. This heat causes trauma on a deeper level within the skin which creates a wound that then repairs itself. This means that after a laser session, your skin will be very red, often painful and you will peel. The recovery time is anything from 3-10 days with a laser treatment whereas there is no downtime with lightfusion.

What treatments can lightfusion be combined with?

lightfusion™ will enhance and accelerate the results from other treatments such as facials, microdermabrasion, peels, microneedling and fillers. You can also use lightfusion™ after laser treatment to reduce downtime. Lightfusion™ can also be combined with body treatments as the face panels can be used to treat the décolletage area and abdomen.

What results can I expect and how long will they last?

You should see firmer, tighter, softer and smoother skin with reduced pore size due to the instant hydration and enhanced absorption of the ingredients in the hydrogel mask. With increased blood flow, tissue oxygenation and increased cellular turnover your complexion will look more vibrant and fresh. Results can last for several months following a course of four lightfusion™ photofacials. However, maintenance sessions are advised to ensure longer-lasting results.
