Microtox is a unique approach to utilising botulinum toxin to achieve flawless, glass-like skin. Also known as dermatox, it works by placing dilute toxin in tiny papules just under the skin’s surface rather than into the muscle where it is typically placed.

What is microtox?
WHERE CAN I BE TREATED WITH MICROTOX?
Microtox can be used to soften expression lines while still retaining movement when treating ageing concerns in the forehead. It is particularly effective for patients with heavy brows and upper eyelids that would not be suitable for Wrinkle Smoothing Injections.
Microtox placed in this level of the dermis can also work on the oil gland, so it is effective for treating excess oiliness and mild acne. It can also be used to treat facial sweating and facial flushing. Enlarged pores can also be tightened to achieve a smoother, poreless complexion.

FAQS FOR microtox
What are the benefits of microtox?
Microtox is a highly effective treatment for enlarged pores, fine lines and oily skin to achieve a smoother, more refined complexion. As it helps to decrease excess oil production and shrinks pore size, it can help to prevent breakouts.
Facial flushing can also be treated with Microtox as it prevents the blood vessels from dilating, reducing redness associated with rosacea.
IS MICROTOX PAINFUL?
Botulinum toxin is diluted in a saline solution, and multiple tiny papules are injected into the superficial layer of the skin. Most patients tolerate the procedure well with no need for topical anaesthetic.
IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME AFTER MICROTOX?
You may experience mild swelling and redness immediately after the procedure, but this should resolve after just a few hours. You can resume normal activities afterwards, but we advise avoiding exercise or any heat treatments for the first 24 hours and facials for up to 2 weeks.
HOW LONG DO MICROTOX RESULTS LAST?
This depends on what is being treated and where it is being injected. If it is placed in the forehead to soften expression lines, it can last approximately two to three months. In other areas of the face and for treating oiliness and flushing, for example, you should see slightly longer results.
