It’s just 66 days to Christmas and our social calendars are already getting packed with glam parties, work functions and festive drinks. The good news is that there’s still plenty of time to book treatments that will ensure you look fabulous throughout the festive season.
All aesthetic treatments require a certain amount of downtime and vary in when you can expect your final results, so here’s the Karidis Clinic Christmas countdown:
Beauty treatments to book this October
Glowing, youthful skin is a must as you navigate the party season and Profhilo is a unique and exciting approach to skin rejuvenation. As well as plumping and hydrating the skin, it also works as a bioremodeller so the skin looks lifted and firmer.
Containing high concentrations of hyaluronic acid and injected into five carefully designed points on the face, Profhilo produces an all-over rejuvenation and can improve under eye wrinkles, fine lines around the eyes and mouth, skin laxity and crepey-like skin.
Downtime after a Profhilo session is minimal; there may be a small amount of redness and swelling at the injection sites, but this will quickly disappear. We do recommend that you avoid wearing make-up for 24 hours and avoid any strenuous activities for 48 hours to minimise any post-injection swelling.
It is recommended that you have two Profhilo treatments a month apart and you’ll notice the difference in the weeks after your second treatment so book now for party perfect skin. Your results will then continue to improve over the following weeks, so you’ll have visibly hydrated, healthy and glowing skin even during the cold, dark days of January!
Beauty treatments to book in November
Wrinkle smoothing injections remain consistently popular in the UK and work by smoothing out dynamic wrinkles, so you look refreshed even after all that festive fizz and late nights.
When injected, the toxin blocks the signals the nerves give to the tiny facial muscles we use when we squint, frown or smile. The muscles then relax, smoothing the overlying skin. Normal facial expression is maintained, but dynamic wrinkles such as frown lines, laughter lines or crow’s feet are greatly improved.
Wrinkle Smoothing Injection Downtime:
Bruising is the most common side effect from Wrinkle Smoothing Injections as the face is full of thousands of tiny blood vessels. Bruising can last up to two weeks but can be easily camouflaged with make-up.
Wrinkle Smoothing Injection Results:
Your Wrinkle Smoothing Injection will start to take effect between three and four days after your treatment and it can take up to 10 days to see the full effects. We review the results at a follow-up session at that point.
Beauty treatments to book in December
Dermal fillers are the ideal quick fix aesthetic treatment as they instantly volumise and plump the skin and smooth lines and wrinkles. Composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin, they also can treat a wide range of ageing concerns.
In the upper face, they can fill the glabella lines that appear between the eyebrows or the lines across the forehead. Under the eye, they can address tired eyes and dark circles. In the mid-face, dermal fillers can be used to fill sunken cheeks, improving the appearance of nasolabial folds and marionette lines. The jaw and chin can also be sculpted with fillers. One of the most popular uses for dermal fillers is to enhance thin lips and improve lip definition, so you’ll have the perfect pout for party season.
Dermal Filler Downtime:
There may be some redness and swelling at the injection site, but this will quickly disappear. We advise you do not wear make-up for the first 24 hours and bruising is possible, as with any injectable, so do not book your dermal filler treatment immediately before a big event.
Dermal Filler Results:
The good news is that dermal filler results are instant although will continue to improve for up to two weeks as the product softens and settles into the skin.
