Top 5 FAQs for lightfusion

How does lightfusion™ work?
Open Close

lightfusion™ uses two clinically proven wavelengths - 633nm or red light and 830nm near infra red light - to stimulate the energy source of skin cells. This has been clinically proven to produce a cascade of cellular processes that stimulate collagen and elastin production. This also improves blood flow and tissue oxygenation helping skin cells absorb topical skincare products. Red and infrared light helps to reduce inflammation, accelerate wound healing, reduce brown spots and pigmentation and improve skin tone and texture instantly and over time.

What is the lightfusion™ facial?
Open Close

The lightfusion™ photofacial combines LED technology and a specially formulated hydrogel mask which transmits light and delivers active ingredients such as marine collagen directly into skin. Results can be seen after just one session. There is also a sleep recovery cream to take home and apply at night on the day of the photofacial which helps results continue to work hours after the treatment. Lasting just 30 minutes is the ideal anti-ageing solution for busy people.

What is the difference between phototherapy and laser treatment?
Open Close

lightfusion™ does not cut, burn or break the skin surface whereas lasers work through heat. This heat causes trauma on a deeper level within the skin which creates a wound that then repairs itself. This means after a laser session your skin will be very red, often painful and you will peel. The recovery time is anything from 3-10 days with a laser treatment whereas there is no downtime with lightfusion™ phototherapy.

What treatments can lightfusion™ be combined with?
Open Close

lightfusion™ will enhance and accelerate the results of facials, microdermabrasion, peels, micro-needling and fillers. You can also use lightfusion™ after laser treatment to reduce downtime. Lightfusion™ can also be combined with body treatments as the face panels can be used to treat the décolletage area and abdomen. It's the perfect add-on.

What results can I expect and how long will they last?
Open Close

You should see firmer, tighter, softer and smoother skin with reduced pore size due to the instant hydration and enhanced absorption of the ingredients in the hydrogel mask. With increased blood flow, tissue oxygenation and increased cellular turnover your complexion will look more vibrant and fresh. Results can last for several months following a course of four lightfusion™ photofacials. However, maintenance sessions are advised to ensure longer-lasting results.
